The Archaeological Institute of Luxembourg exists since 1847.
Today, the activities of the Institute are deployed between two museums, a library and scientific publications: the Annals and the Quarter's Papers of the Archaeological Institute of Luxembourg. Scenes from every-day life of the vicus are carved into funeral monuments and fragments of large buildings. Around sixty pieces are exhibited at the Archaeological Museum of Arlon.
