avenue Ferdinand Nicolay, 4970 Stavelot, VERVIERS, Belgium
The Abbey of Stavelot is founded ca 650, out of what had been a villa, by Saint Remaclus (Saint Remacle).
Three new and fascinating museums were inaugurated on 29 March 2002. They drew on the collections of Stavelot’s former museums, but also on the most modern scenographic and multimedia technologies. The three museums are: The Museum of the Principality of Stavelot-Malmédy, the Spa-Francorchamps Racetrack Museum and the Guillaume Apollinaire Museum.
